ABOUT

Colyer Fehr’s history dates back to the late 1800’s with the wool, fur and hide trading of Wilcox Mofflin Ltd.

​Colyer Fehr commenced business and trading tallow and meals in  1976 with three shareholders, Wilcox Mofflin Ltd of Australia, Colyer Watson Ltd of New Zealand and Frank Fehr & Co. Ltd of the United Kingdom.  The company was formed under the management of Reginald Evans.

The shareholders of Colyer Fehr changed as the ownership of the public company shareholders passed from hand to hand until Reginald & Bernice Evans and their family acquired the company in 1991.  Since then the company has remained solely owned and operated by the Evans family.

​

​

Today Colyer Fehr is a global supplier to the oleochemical, food, feedstock and renewable fuel industries in Australia and abroad.  Operations include trading, road and ocean freight and bulk liquid handling and storage of Tallow and Vegetable Oils and animal foodstuffs, servicing both the East and West Coast of Australia and Internationally.

Colyer Fehr are members of the Australian Renderers Association (ARA), American Fats & Oils Association (AFOA), Business Australia and the Bulk Liquids Industry Association (BLIA) .  Colyer Fehr is an accredited operator with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NVHR) and Main Roads Western Australia and registered with the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.

Reg is a past president of the ARA, received the Ron Lyon award by the ARA in 2003 for his significant service to industry and association, and was accorded life membership in 2005.

​

Damian Evans is a current Director of the ARA and received the BW Bartlett Service to Industry award in 2019.

REGINALD EVANS

Founding Manager

An accountant by profession, Reg was the General Manager from Colyer Fehr's inception in 1976 through to 1991. In 1991 Reg gained independent control of Colyer Fehr and re-established the company. In that time he diversified into road transport and built an independent bulk storage facility, along side trading of Tallow, Oils and Meals.

​

Reg was President of Australian Rendering Association from 1991 to 1994, leading the Inaugural Annual Symposium. Reg was the recipient of the Ron Lyon Award in 2003 and Life Membership in 2005.

​

Reg passed away in March 2018.

DAMIAN EVANS

Managing Director

Commencing his career with Colyer Fehr in 1993, whilst studying Accounting & Finance at Sydney University, Damian has remained with Colyer Fehr to date.  Damian has applied his further learning as a CPA, Master of Taxation Law and Master of Applied Finance to the operations of Colyer Fehr.

​

As Reg wound down his involvement with Colyer Fehr into semi-retirement, Damian assumed the Trading role within Colyer Fehr.

​

Damian has been a Director of the Australia Rendering Association since 2014 and as of 2020, he is the ARA's Representative to the World Rendering Organisation (WRO).

​

Damian was awarded the ARA's BW Bartlett Award for Service to Industry in 2019.

ALICIA EVANS

Senior Accountant

Alicia joined with Reg in 1991 as Reg took ownership of Colyer Fehr, after completing a Bachelor in Commerce, majoring in Accounting. Alicia worked with Reg in the then York Street Sydney office before moving and establishing the current site in Mount Druitt.

​

Alicia's roles with Colyer Fehr includes Financial Accounting, Human Resources & Work Health Safety. Alicia is a CPA and Registered BAS Agent and holds qualifications in Training & Assessment.

​

Alicia ensures that the statutory and regulatory requirements of Colyer Fehr are adhered to in a timely and professional manner.

TIMOTHY EVANS

Operations Manager

Tim started with Colyer Fehr in 2001 on a part time basis whilst completing a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Marketing. Upon completion of his Marketing Degree in 2004, Tim became full time and managed the daily administration of Colyer Fehr. Tim went on to complete a Masters of Business in 2007.

​

Tim has been responsible for operations management since 2008. In this role, Tim manages the operations of Colyer Fehr's Road Transport fleet, Bulk Storage facility, Shipping and accreditation compliance.

​

Tim has a Certificate III in Fatigue Management and is a Certified Personal Trainer.
